i'm skipping lots of stuff for the 1st day coz we reached late afternoon and there wasn't much to do. i mentioned we stayed at colormix (which sucks max) and it's at ximending. so we just loitered there on the 1st day.

i think this is the best 蔥抓餅 i've ever tasted. it's at 西門町!

Day 2: THSR to Kaohsiung (but u have to alight at ZUOYING station, NOT Kaosiung!)
the train's seats are so so so much better than seats on plane. 

Buy their THSR pass if u're gonna travel consecutively for a few days. it's MUCH cheaper.
we got a 3-day pass and u have to buy it in Singapore.

This is the Dream Mall (supposedly the largest mall in tw) i told u about.
I think your Jack will fall asleep walking in the mall.

We boarded this free shuttle bus to the mall! (and i have no idea what the driver is doing. lols)

The best thing ever the Dream Mall has is DAISOOOOO!!!!
their interior is much more atas than SG's. and so much bigger. plus, after converting the currency the price is also cheaper than SG.

Formosa Station
yes the masterpiece is really beautiful. take some time to admire it.

六合夜市 - we came too early and not many stalls and shops were opened. Should be interesting enough at night.

Day 3: we took THSR to Taichung and took a 火車 to 台中火車站. Hope u're not confused but THSR(高鐵) and TRC(火車) are different trains. Above is the cardboard museum / restaurant. If i'm not wrong, there's another one at Cing Jing but i haven't been there. U can ask Weilin about it though.

And so there's this awesome ice cream shop 宮原眼科冰淇淋 at 台中火車站. it's just likea 5 - 10min walk. check out the map after 2 pics. the ambience and decor is fantastic. (not sure if it's to your liking though) and LOTS of flavors for u to choose from. 

We ordered Mulberry and (forgot the other flavor) with these toppings that comes for free.

Evening time! the wonderful Fengjia Night Market! u must take a taxi or spend *&^%$!!! time waiting for the damn bus which might take like 45min to reach your destination. LOTS of food and shopping. after that we took a taxi straight back to THSR and head back to taipei instead of taking TRC. we took the TRC purely for the ice cream only. there's nothing else at the station except for the delicious ice cream.

u can get lost easily in the night market! but we didn't use this map anyway. xD

The next day we went to 五分鋪 and also had the intention to continue on to 饒河夜市 but my hubby was pretty sick so we walked till Songshan train station and gave up and went back to rest. so if u have the chance to go to the night market tell me if its fun! 

I had planned 松山文創園區 (actually i'm not sure if this place is fun. just thinking to visit some place without shopping for a change) as part of my itinerary too. but same thing, my hubby wasn't feeling well and had no mood at all to go out so i think we stayed inside the room for the whole day :(
there's a huge shopping mall near this 松山文創園區.  

U have to go to Sun Yat Sun station to get to the park and the shopping mall. i researched already, that's the NEAREST MTR station. when it's like so far. -.-'''

Next day! we took a ferry to Fisherman's Wharf  from Danshui. U have to walk a distance from Danshui station before u can see the ticket vendor and take the ferry. they're not at Danshui station.

Your bf might like this place if he is a scenery person. don't miss the sunset. it's really beautiful. :)

it's one of my favorites out of ALL countries i've been to. it's squeaky clean and has a Jacuzzi!!! <3 p="">
